Three hours north of Toronto, Algonquin Provincial Park is Ontario's most popular reserve, with beautiful lakes, rivers, and unspoiled wilderness teeming with wildlife. Guided Toronto will take you for a few hiking trails, ranging in difficulty depending on your ability. The park has many types of terrain from flat trails along boardwalks to more difficult routes that climb over ridges to outstanding lookouts with views of the endless forested range below. Be ready for sightings like beaver or moose (best seen in spring) and other resident animals that call this place home. One of the best time to visit is late September and October for the stunning fall colours that radiate throughout the landscape. After a lovely lakeside lunch you can opt for trying your hand at a paddling a canoe, biking on one of the forested trails or visiting the Algonquin Art Center - which showcase the inspiration for many great artist including the Group of Seven.

The Bruce Trail straddles a huge forested ridge that runs throughout southern Ontario, connecting the Niagara River with Georgian Bay. Due to its location along the Niagara Escarpment, the trail is marked with impressive rock formations throughout. Only three hours from Toronto, the area acts as a perfect city getaway for avid hikers and nature lovers. On this tour we will leave Toronto Early morning and head straight for the park and enjoy a 5 km trail and hike towards the Grotto, which is a limestone cave overlooking Georgian Bay’s clear blue water. The next stop is lunch in Tobermory, the town at the tip of the peninsula that will radiate small town Ontario charm. End the day with an adventure of your choice. You will fall in love with this it’s a true Canadian paradise.

GEORGIAN BAY’s 30,000 Islands DAY TRIP

Known as the “30,000 Islands,” Eastern Georgian Bay is the world’s largest freshwater archipelago! On this tour, we head out to the Parry Sound area which is a perfect launch point to discover this freshwater wilderness, towering pines and distinctive rock formations of the Canadian Shield. You will be met by a Georgian Bay Biosphere guide that will take you on a walk along a stretch of natural shoreline. For the adventure inclined, choose the Rugged Trail, an easy-to moderately challenging path that winds along iconic Georgian Bay coastline. Alternatively, the Waterfront Trail offers equally impressive sights, but is a less challenging route –the choice is yours! After the hike, a visit to the Museum on Tower Hill will provide you with historical knowledge of the town of Parry Sound. This tour concludes with a delicious lunch of local flavours and craft beverage looking towards the historic trestle bridge on the Seguin River. Optional activities in the afternoon include kayaking on a quiet inland lake, a fishing charter on Georgian Bay, a float plane trip over the archipelago, or an Indigenous cultural craft experience.
